Refurbishing Process For Xerox Printing Systems

De-Installation

All systems purchased for resale are inspected prior to pick-up and de-installed and packed for shipment by the manufacture or an approved service technician.

Re-Inspection

Upon delivery to our technical center each system is again inspected and audited with greater detail to determine if any of the electronic components and assemblies need parts to be replaced.

Equipment Breakdown

In this stage the controller, imaging, input and output modules are taken apart to the frame. The printer panels are removed for painting and all the belts, transports, rollers and imaging components are taken out and all worn components are replaced with new Xerox parts.

Refurbishing

During the actual rebuilding of the system, our technicians will re-install the rebuilt transports, new belts and all parts identified during the inspection. In addition the systems disk drives, circuit boards and all electronic components are tested and all sub-standard components are replaced. The system is reassembled and prepared staging and final testing.

Cleaning/Painting

This process includes a thorough cleaning of the system and the replacement of all the worn components. Any cosmetic cleaning inside the system and outside is performed during this time. The systems panels/skins are prepped for painting with approved paint. Each panel/skin is precision baked to resist chipping and guarantees quality and durability.

Staging

The system configuration is checked against the initial audit to confirm all components are replaced and complete. We also check the final outgoing configuration and any system features that need to be added or removed before Testing is completed.

Final Testing

Your system is now fully complete and our engineers will Sys-Gen the System and run final diagnostics to insure operational integrity. Before the system is packed for shipment it is stress tested in operation mode with thousands of pages run on the system. This is to ensure the print quality is at levels accepted by the manufacture.

Delivery

After the final testing is completed the system will be packed for shipment according to the manufactures specifications. All components including software and manuals are shipped with the printing system. Docu-Options ships these systems on only Air-Ride Blanket Wrap Electronic Moving Trucks. These costs along with Insurance coverage during transit are included in our price. Pre-Installation prior to delivery it is important to confirm that the correct electrical power is installed and you have sufficient room for the system. In addition it will be necessary to have consumables on hand for the initial installation and on-going printing requirements.
